JDBC & C / C++ open source connectors for the MySQL® & MariaDB® databases

Available for download under the permissive LGPL licence

As part of our ongoing efforts to stimulate and support innovation in the wider MySQL database and open source user communities, SkySQL & Monty Program are making the MariaDB Client Library for Java Applications and the MariaDB Client Library for C available for download under the permissive LGPL licence.

This is relevant for developers building applications in C or Java (using JDBC) that also make use of a MariaDB and/or MySQL database. They now have an alternative source for a free-to-use, open source connector technology.

Developer and operations support services are available via the SkySQL™ Enterprise Data Suite.

Other terms frequently used to describe clients are "Connectors" and "Drivers".

The clients below differ from most other connectors for the MySQL database in that they are licensed under the permissive LGPL licence, which imposes few usage restrictions even on commercial use. Try them out now!
