Ralf Wahlsten
Chairman
Ralf was an investor in MySQL from the year 2000 and followed the journey closely. Ralf worked as a management consultant with Indevo AB, At Kearney Inc. and Booz Allen Hamilton. Ralf founded Sirius Consulting Oy, a consulting company that also invests in start-ups. In 2009, the investment work became a full-time occupation when Ralf co-founded Open Ocean Capital. A native of Finland, Ralf received his MSc from Helsinki University of Technology 1987.
David Axmark
David Axmark was one of the co-founders of MySQL AB, and has more than 15 years of experience in Open Source and Free Software. He has been involved with MySQL development from its beginning along with the fellow co-founder Michael Widenius.
David Douglas
David Douglas joins SkySQL having worked nearly his entire career in big data. Most recently vice president of Applied Minds, LLC, and chief executive officer of TouchTable, Douglas was previously senior vice president of cloud computing and chief sustainability officer at Sun Microsystems.
At Sun, Douglas oversaw the company’s cloud strategy and was a leader in the company’s acquisition of MySQL AB, spearheading its integration after the close. David's prior experience includes positions at ConnecTerra, BEA Systems and Thinking Machines, and he is currently on the board of the National Ecological Observatory Network.
Finn Persson
Before co-founding Spintop Ventures in 2009, Finn was managing the regional early stage venture capital firm Emano 2004 until the end of 2008. In that capacity he, among other things, sold portfolio company Marratech to Google, Inc.
Prior to his work with early stage technology companies, Finn was a Partner at McKinsey & Company where he led the firm’s Scandinavian activities within Telecommunications, Internet, Technology and Media. Finn has a MSc in Engineering Physics from Lund University.
Alex Suh
Alex Suh is a founding Managing Director with California Technology Ventures, LLC, a Southern California venture capital firm that focuses its investments in the fields of Life Sciences and Information Technology. Alex is the managing director that invests in Life Sciences as well as Information Technology.
Bob Suh
Bob is the founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of OnCorps, as well as a director of Open Logic. He is the retired chief technology strategist for Accenture. In this role, he served as the chief strategist for the firm’s $11 billion global software, systems integration, and technology consulting business. Prior to Accenture, Bob was a division president at Perot Systems (now Dell Services), reporting to Ross Perot, and helped take the company public.
Bob is an Overseer at the Boston Museum of Science and a member of the Dean’s Alumni Council at The Harvard Kennedy School. Bob was named one of the Top 25 consultants in 2005 and holds a master in public administration degree, with a concentration in political economy, from Harvard University. Bob also received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California. Bob lives in Boston.
