David Douglas

David Douglas joins SkySQL having worked nearly his entire career in big data. Most recently vice president of Applied Minds, LLC, and chief executive officer of TouchTable, Douglas was previously senior vice president of cloud computing and chief sustainability officer at Sun Microsystems. At Sun, Douglas oversaw the company’s cloud strategy and was a leader in the company’s acquisition of MySQL AB, spearheading its integration after the close.  David's prior experience includes positions at ConnecTerra, BEA Systems and Thinking Machines, and he is currently on the board of the National Ecological Observatory Network.
